About SEA

Saylor Electro-Acoustics was established in 2023 out of my interest in all things musical and engineering.  I started my journey in 2004 newly graduated with degrees in Physics and Audio Design.  Since then my professional life has been evenly split between the acoustical and electrical aspects of the craft.

I stayed with Polk Audio for nearly 20 years through it's various incarnations including the addition of Definitive, purchase by Directed Electronics, rebranding as Sound United, the addition of Denon, Marantz, and Bowers and Wilkens, to the final phase with a buyout by Masimo Consumer.  During that time I was lucky enough to work on projects from car audio to audiophile grade tower speakers.  I am grateful for the experiences and mentorship I gained along the way.

My goal with SEA is to provide a unique skillset to clients.  Most projects in the industry today require the integration of both acoustic and electronic components.  These skillsets are not often found in the same place, and many designs suffer from a failure to understand the interplay between the two domains.

There are many exciting possibilities for future loudspeaker system designs.  As signal processing, psychoacoustics, and materials science advance we continue to see new ways to make impactful experiences for the consumer.  This is why it is key to find the right partner to help you navigate the complex and inter-disciplinary aspects of modern system design.

I hope to make your acquaintance and earn your trust as we work together on your new project!
